We’re excited to share the publication of our latest work on open-source, H-HOPE do-it-yourself (DIY) platform available on GitHub. This repository offers foundational knowledge, technical documentation, and step-by-step guidance to support anyone interested in building a small-scale hydro energy harvester.
While the energy generated by these harvesters is limited and often too low to directly power devices or charge batteries, the system includes a high-efficiency rectifier and buck-boost converter to regulate and convert the voltage to a usable level. This ensures that even low-yield energy sources can be used effectively, particularly for powering sensors or storing energy in small-scale applications.
